This family was the winner of my New Love Giveaway back in June! They have a special story. Betsy Jo was adopted, so the family had to wait until all the legal paperwork was complete to bring her home. I usually shoot newborns in their first week, but because of the wait, I shot Betsy Jo at about three weeks old. She still had that wonderful newness to her, but was more awake than younger newborns.

Betsy Jo joins her older sister Mary Jane, who was adopted just nine months earlier! I can’t wait to see these girls grow up together. Being so close in age, I imagine they will be the best of friends!
