Last week I shared the first half of my Secret, Surprise Session with the Extended Clark Family. That was the day-in-the-life portraits showing the family doing what they love. Here are the more formal portraits of the family.

Family Portraits

Next week, I’ll share some images of the album I created for them!

The Bee’s Knees is a weekly feature wherein I ramble about all the lovely little things that are inspiring me this week.

Spring has arrived (or at least has been showing up every couple of days in between cold and rainy days)! I love the change of seasons from cool to warm weather and the later sunsets to let me shoot outside later in the evening.

Spring makes me want to go outside on walks with the family and take some fabulous wildflower photos! I’m excited to have a shoot planned at the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve in just a few weeks!

Until then, I decided to scratch that itch by taking my daughter to a nearby field with some wildflowers for a photo shoot for my personal website, Making Me Cranky, and to get a few new springy headshots of myself (thanks to my wonderful husband)!

Hope you are all enjoying the new Spring days!

I can hardly believe that just a year ago, I was taking Newborn portraits of this little one! And now she’s already one! This year has gone by so quickly and Audrey has grown just as fast!

I stopped by the house to take some delicious first birthday cupcake photos and caught Audrey still in her adorable pajamas!

After she got changed and everyone had some lunch, we brought out the cupcake.

Then we headed off to the Santa Barbara Zoo for more fun family portraits! Such a great portrait location! I have the best clients ever!

Aren’t they a gorgeous family?!

Happy birthday little Audrey! Thanks for letting me capture your first birthday!
